I listened to this on my trail run Thursday and its a very insightful detailed look into the origins of the current conflict.  One of interesting observations Traub reminds us who don’t know the area that well is how Georgia is a warm vacation spot for the Russians and how they view the Georgians as a spoiled unthankful child.  There is a lot of interesting national psychology at play in that region.
