This is a Seinfieldian chain.  The developers of Todoist got this idea from a productivity article about Jerry Seinfeld where he described that the key he used to getting better at writing and telling jokes every days was to get a giant calendar and mark off each day he wrote a better joke.   Little by litte, bit by bit.   See the square boxes, in Todoist you can click those off as you accomplish things.  I created a task called “Run every other day” and then for the date I typed “every other day”.  Todoists created boxes for every other day!  What smart elegant software.
